No fewer than 10 people have lost their lives, while 20 others sustained injuries in a devastating road accident along the Tafa axis of Niger State.
The fatal crash, which occurred on Monday morning around 8:20 a.m., involved a DAF tanker carrying 33 male passengers along the Tafa, Gujeni route at Malam Tanko.
According to the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the vehicle lost control due to excessive speed, leading to the tragic incident.
Authorities also revealed that the tanker was engaged in illegal mixed loading, transporting both goods and passengers, a dangerous practice that worsened the outcome.
