The Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) confirmed the incident, sharing videos on its official X (formerly Twitter) handle.
The visuals showed the blazing vehicle and the wreckage, which contributed to a major traffic backlog in the area.
While the exact cause of the collision is yet to be determined, such accidents are often linked to factors like driver error, distracted driving, or sudden braking in heavy traffic.
