The United States Embassy in Kuwait has suspended its operations indefinitely as tensions linked to the growing Iran crisis continue to escalate across the Middle East.
In a security alert issued Tuesday, the embassy announced it would remain closed “until further notice,” citing ongoing regional instability.
All scheduled regular and emergency consular appointments have been cancelled, with officials promising to provide updates as the situation develops.

The shutdown follows days of intensified military activity in the Gulf region, raising fresh security concerns for diplomatic missions and foreign nationals.
Although the embassy did not outline specific threats, it emphasized that the decision was taken out of caution amid rising hostilities.
U.S. military sources also confirmed recent incidents in Kuwait that reportedly left six American troops dead. In a separate development, three U.S. fighter jets crashed in what authorities described as an apparent friendly fire incident, further deepening anxieties over the volatile security environment.
The temporary closure underscores the widening impact of the Iran-related tensions, with diplomatic, military and civilian sectors feeling the ripple effects as uncertainty continues to grip the region.
