Ossai Ovie, Senior Special Assistant on Media to the Delta State Governor, has voiced strong criticism over the outfits worn by Nigerian attendees at the 68th Grammy Awards.
In a post shared on social media, Ovie expressed disappointment in what he described as the poor representation of Nigerian culture at the global event.
He particularly singled out Chioma Adeleke’s attire, calling it inappropriate and “half-naked,” arguing that it failed to reflect Nigerian cultural values.
“I am disappointed in Chioma Davido’s dressing. She shouldn’t have been half-naked to the Grammy,” Ovie wrote.
“She didn’t represent Nigerian culture well, embracing a revealing Western style instead. Cultural representation matters, and it’s crucial.”

Ovie also criticized music star Davido, Chioma’s husband, for not discouraging her choice of outfit.
“I am disappointed in Davido for allowing her to dress this way. I am really disappointed,” he added.
The comments have sparked a discussion online, with some defending personal fashion choices while others agree that Nigerian culture should be prominently showcased on the international stage.
