Fire Destroys Computer Village Building, Goods Worth Millions Lost

A devastating fire outbreak has razed a building at the popular Computer Village, causing the destruction of goods valued at several millions of naira.

The incident, which occurred in the early hours of the day, reportedly started from one of the shops before spreading rapidly to other parts of the building.

Traders and residents in the area were thrown into panic as thick smoke billowed into the sky, attracting a large crowd to the scene.
Eyewitnesses said efforts by shop owners to salvage their goods were largely unsuccessful due to the intensity of the fire.

Several computers, mobile phones, accessories and other electronic items were completely destroyed before firefighters arrived.

Officials of the fire service later moved in to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby buildings.
