
Nigeria is gearing up for Thursday’s 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon, with Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle still waiting for three key players to join the squad.
Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle is still awaiting the availability of key players Victor Osimhen, Maduka Okoye, and Alhassan Yusuf ahead of Thursday’s 2026 World Cup qualifying playoff against Gabon in Rabat, Morocco.
A total of 21 players are already in the Super Eagles camp, including Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi, Samuel Chukwueze, Tolu Arokodare, Olakunle Olusegun, Wilfred Ndidi, Moses Simon, William Troost-Ekong, Benjamin Frederick, Chidozie Awaziem, and Amas Obasogie.
Others in the squad include Stanley Nwabali, Semi Ajayi, Ademola Lookman, Akor Adams, Chidera Ejuke, Bright Osayi-Samuel, Raphael Onyedika, Frank Onyeka, Zaidu Sanusi, and Bruno Onyemaechi. Victor Osimhen, Maduka Okoye, and Alhassan Yusuf are expected to join later today, completing the 24-man roster for the two-legged playoff series.
